Cardiac Rehabilitation
NZ$140.00

Initial Assessment $300, 90 minutes. Twelve-week group programme $800. One to one from $500 per month.

Supervised exercise rehabilitation for cardiac and vascular patients, delivered by a CEPNZ registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist at the Wintec Biokinetic Clinic in Hamilton.

This is a clinical service, not a fitness programme. Every patient is individually assessed, individually prescribed for, screened before each session, and reported on in writing to the referring clinician.

  • After myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass grafting

  • Stable angina

  • Atrial fibrillation, including patients preparing for or recovering from ablation

  • Chronic heart failure, with specialist clearance

  • Peripheral arterial disease and intermittent claudication

  • Patients who have completed a public cardiac rehabilitation programme and want structured supervision to continue

  • Patients who declined, could not attend, or fell away from a public programme

This service is designed to sit alongside publicly funded cardiac rehabilitation rather than replace it. Where a patient is eligible for the Te Whatu Ora programme, that is usually the right first step, and this is what comes next.

NZ$140.00

Initial Assessment $300, 90 minutes

From post-surgical recovery to sports injuries and overuse conditions, KIH designs structured rehabilitation programmes that restore strength, movement, and confidence. Whether you're recovering from a joint replacement or managing a persistent injury, your programme is built around your body and your goals, not a generic template.

Ideal for: post-surgical patients, injury recovery, and anyone dealing with persistent musculoskeletal issues.

Chronic Condition Rehabilitation & Management
NZ$140.00

Initial Assessment $300, 90mins

Living with a long-term condition changes what exercise means. It stops being about getting fit and starts being about keeping your independence, your energy, and your ability to do the things that make up an ordinary day.

The problem is that generic exercise advice does not account for your condition, your medications, or how your body responds to effort on a bad day. Most people are told to exercise and left to work out the rest alone.

Clinical exercise physiology is the part that is usually missing. Your programme is prescribed from measurement, not guesswork, and it is adjusted as your condition changes.

Conditions I work with

  • Respiratory: COPD, asthma, and other chronic lung conditions

  • Metabolic: type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome

  • Neurological: stroke recovery, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease

  • Fatigue conditions: chronic fatigue syndrome, long COVID, cancer-related fatigue

  • Musculoskeletal: osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, persistent pain

  • Cardiovascular risk: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and prevention after a cardiac scare

Exercise is also well supported as part of the management of depression and anxiety, alongside the care you already receive rather than instead of it.
